Our Story
From Afghanistan to Zambia — a story of walking together.
Who We Are
A Frontline Restoration Ministry
HEMEFund walks alongside people facing hardship. We meet and listen, offer care, connect people with support, and stay in relationship. We seek to honour each person's dignity as we serve in Christ's love.

Afghanistan Roots
Where the story began
Our work began in Afghanistan, where Afghan colleagues, families, and supporters worked together to provide practical skills training and care. These relationships helped shape our commitment to listen, remain present, and walk with people through difficult seasons.
Through that journey, we learned to listen closely to the people we hoped to serve. Restoration takes trust, shared responsibility, and a willingness to remain in relationship beyond a single visit.

HEMEFund Today
Ministry in Zambia
What began with sharing food with four children who said they were hungry has grown into a ministry bringing together around 70 young Zambian professionals and volunteers, including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, lawyers, and accountants. Local leaders coordinate the work, bringing their skills and commitment to the communities they serve. Together, we listen to our neighbors and support the next steps they choose.
As the ministry grows, more people share responsibility for its work. Zambian partners give their time and skills, making shared meals a place to hear neighbours' stories and consider what further care might help.
We are still learning, adjusting, and walking together. The next chapter will be shaped by local communities, ministry partners, and the people who support this work through prayer and giving.
