Project Nshima
Serving homeless individuals in Lusaka through worship, prayer, food, and relationship-building, and working with responsible partners toward appropriate support — including a safeguarded pathway for street-connected children.
What Is Project Nshima?
Project Nshima is an ongoing ministry serving homeless individuals in Lusaka through worship, prayer, food, relationship-building, and referral support.
On the streets of Zambia, many individuals survive without shelter or safety. Project Nshima meets them where they are: sharing a meal, offering prayer, building trust, and walking alongside them. For street-connected children, our approach prioritizes a separate safeguarded pathway with responsible local partners.

Showing up, week after week
Project Nshima takes place every week at Cairo Bridge, behind the Main Post Office in Lusaka. Around 20 volunteers share food, prayer, conversation, and time with our neighbours.
Each gathering matters, and returning week after week gives trust time to grow. Steady giving helps us prepare for the next visit and supports the local team as these relationships develop.
We are seeking approximately US$1,000 per week in operating support to sustain Project Nshima.

The Support We Need
Project Nshima runs on the generosity of people like you. Here are the ways you can partner with us to bring hope to the streets.
Food Provision
Hot meals and food packs sustain our outreach to homeless individuals. Your giving helps the volunteer team prepare and share the weekly meal.
Volunteer Teams
We need hands and hearts — people willing to walk the streets with us, build relationships, and help connect individuals to appropriate care.
Prayer Partnership
We invite churches and individuals to stand with us in faithful prayer for the vulnerable. Prayer carries the relationships we build, long after a single meeting ends.
Restoration Pathway
Beyond immediate relief, we hope to walk with individuals toward a long-term restoration pathway — shelter, education, counseling, and a fresh start — as capacity and partnerships allow.
